Our Founder's Inspiration

Carla Johnson's personal experience in witnessing her parents embrace foster children and navigate the adoption process ignited a flame within her heart. Growing up, Carla saw firsthand the transformative power of love and support in the lives of vulnerable children. Her understanding of the effects of childhood abuse and neglect drives her unwavering commitment to be a force for change in the foster care system.

Once you express your interest by filling out an inquiry card, we walk with you every step of the way. We answer your questions and put your mind at ease. Then, when you’re ready for licensing, we’ll handle the complexities with you so you will not be alone. As a part of the Kids First, Inc. family, you'll receive ongoing training and 24/7 support to ensure you feel confident and prepared throughout your journey.
